“tHiS iSn’T jAnE aUsTeN!” Umm yeah, duh. This is Julia Quinn and Shonda! Listen, if you’re like me and read the books, OBVIOUSLY you’re going to experience disappointment with how you envisioned the characters. The only one I was genuinely disappointed with was Daphne. I think that casting was all wrong for appearances and I feel like in the book she was definitely more assertive and fun!! Also those bangs. Stahhhp!! I also don’t know why everyone is shocked at Anthony being a jerk. HE WAS!! I didn’t even like him until his own love storyline in the book! Come on you guys. Ok here’s the deal, if you’re into historical romance, this show is so good!!! I’m addicted and even got my husband to watch. It’s perfect while we sleep train our one year old. Enjoy the show for what it is: creative story telling with amazing cinematography. I also enjoy the classical meets modern songs they do with the string quartet. Overall, I really enjoy this show and I will probably binge it again. 4/5 stars because Daphne and her bangs just bother me!
