Holidate: 8/10 a surprisingly novel approach at a more self-referential Rom Com. While the actors wore but a thin veil of a character, their natural repertoire more than compensated for this lack of range. A more pretentious critic may assert the thesis as self defeating, in that the single empowered individuals ended up “needing” companionship, yet it’s my belief that this only adds to these meta and ironic qualities which the film so holistically embodies.
