Alsop is a true hero, she exemplifies Campbell's edict to 'follow your bliss' and Goethe's "boldness has genius' in a world that did not make it easy, or readily available, yet she prevails, beautifully and continually. Her generosity has made many many lives around the world better. A true, beautifully human hero. This film is for everyone.

Very suspenseful, Knippenberg is a compelling character, especially given the barriers he had to transgress in order to search for Sobhraj, The strength and conviction he acted with in accordance with his own conscience is a hero's journey. Rahim is outstanding, once again (The Leaning Tower, A Prophet) and his portrayal is compelling and chilling, I look forward to seeing more of Rahim a range of exciting roles that will allow him to continue to bring his depth forward. Coleman gives the obstinate naïveté and vulnerable hunger of LeClerc a complexity that is not easily dismissed. I only wish we would've learned more about Ajay and how he was seduced into Sobhraj's web. A terrifying tale well told!
