Ghost Recon is such an iconic franchise. Unique even from most other tactical shooters. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is nothing but an Ubisoft cash grab. Ubisoft attempted to make this great series more like every other role playing shooter in existence with the addition of leveled loot. And then made the massive mistake of making it an MMO. Also, without any option for an AI squad to back you up. In this game, you play alone, or only play with friends because random squad mates are often not competent. Many missions are not geared for solo play in the campaign. The story is as cheesy as could possibly be. I don't expect a whole lot of originality from a video game story, but this one is just so bad. traveling is overly tedious or spawning a new helicopter is far too tedious. Wildlands, and Ghost Recons all the way back into ps2 days were incredible, well thought out tactical games. Breakpoint is an utter disgrace to the franchise and the developing company. This format that games are attempting to mimic for profit have people turning away from once beloved franchises. I waited until this game was on sale for $20 before I bought it, because I knew it was going to be bad, but I never imagined it could be this. I also loved assassin's creed: Odyssey and that the exploration method was brought into this game. In short, this game totally misses the bar of decent games. Don't waste your money, and pray to the gaming gods Ubisoft rethinks this idiocy next time.
