Most reviewers who are panning this movie never even saw the musical in the first place. The musical never had much of a plot to begin with! It's based on a book of silly children's poems, for pete's sake! I thought the film was actually quite good. If you're a fan of the musical, you will enjoy it. If you've already jumped on the internet hate wagon, please approach it with a more open mind. It's wonderfully weird, the special effects are actually quite good, the dancing and singing are fantastic and the scenery is magical. I think they did a fabulous job and i hope that this movie will become a cult classic and be appreciated for what it is by the right people.
