The dramatic illusion in this film was shattered over and over again by the insistence on making every other character in this film nonwhite. Would it make sense to remake the wonderful, classic film about South Africa "Cry the Beloved Country" with an all-white cast? I truly wish l had walked out on this film. It put a stain on my soul. It made me wish l had not lived to see the year 2020. It is a vile exercise in political correctness and Cultural Marxism. I have no doubt that the people who give it positive reviews know it stinks but upvote it because it is the PC thing to do. Watching "David Copperfield" 2019 is like having a politically correct bully shake his fist in your face for 90 minutes. I will have to watch the old time 1930's W.C. Fields version of "David Copperfield" once again to wash away the experience of watching this loathsome film
