It’s ok if you like romances. One issue I had was that the main female character is a nurse practitioner (awesome! We aren’t portrayed in many shows!), but frequently is referred to or refers to herself as a nurse. As a nurse practitioner, I am extremely proud of being a nurse...however...there is a BIG difference between being an NP and being a nurse (RN). I don’t know of any NPs who would ever refer to themselves as a nurse. It confuses other people about what their professional role is. And it negates the extra 2-4 years of post-graduate education that nurse practitioners go through. Nurses have their associates or bachelors degree, whereas a nurse practitioner has either a masters or doctoral degree. Yeah, I hear what most of you are thinking, but it was an important distinction to me, so I thought I’d point it out.
