The Matrix Resurrections has so much potential but drops the ball when it comes to cinematography and casting. A bit a polish around the edges and this could have been a brilliant sequel. The second half of the film is great as it tries something new but sticking with the existing Matrix 'style.'
What is the killer blow (and why I can't give 3 stars) is the fact that Hugo Weaving could have been in the film back Lana Wachoski insisted on the dates for filming. Which just adds insult to injury. The first half of the film (which relies on this character) would have been better with Weaving. As much as Jonothan Groff does a wonderful job, it's just not the same.
