I agree with many of the reviewers that The Pale Blue Eye is quite lovely to watch. One can almost feel the biting cold of winter weather in the Hudson Valley. That said, I thought the plot remarkably contrived and the resolution very unsatisfying. The dialog and acting are exemplary, but they can't make up for a weak story.

I really enjoyed the film. Kidman and Bardim do not really look the parts but they do a good job. Both Lucy Arnez and Desi Arnez Jr were exec producers and I think they did their parents proud. Not strictly factual but solid entertainment. What one expects from Aaron Sorkin.
