I wish the puppets’ faces moved a little more to show emotion, wish they moved a little more naturally, but you can only do so much with a puppet I suppose. That aside, and the excess snot aside, this sequel is what everyone’s been asking for. It’s beautiful and it hasn’t lost that darkness of the original; it’s even a bit more savage. The world and mythology is wonderfully expanded. I was forever haunted by the original as a child, now you can haunt your kids, too, even more! And I need the prequel sequel like...right now.
