I really enjoyed this story because of how it's just descriptive enough. It isn't too obvious and at the same time not unintelligible babbling. I also enjoy how it manages to develop these characters very quickly and feels like a slow burn even though it isn't slow at all. Finally, I enjoy the absurdity of Montressor building in fortunato and the symbolism of their descent. If you enjoy the suspense of this story I recommend the short story the most dangerous game by richard connell.
