And that will be my last Martin Scorsese film... Just like the Irishman, it was insanely drawn out, dull story-telling, and even anti-climatic. The trailers for Killers of the Flower Moon were incredibly false and misleading making it appear the film would have some action. It didn't - it was evident on the faces of everyone in the theatre after the film. Some will claim how artistic Killers of the Flower Moon was or "what a masterpiece" - get off the peace pipe. 3h 26m run time was twice as long as it should've been. You have to be careful now with trailers because Hollywood has figured out the formula to make them enticing by cramming all 2 mins and 30 seconds of action scenes into it with catchy music. Save yourself the 3 hours.

If this show had a second season, I'd be there in a flash. It was perfectly paced, well sequenced action with excellent character building and back story. Many episodes you could feel yourself on the edge of your seat not sure what's going to happen next, with plenty of twists and turns. Honestly, it felt like a full adventure and just what I was hoping for. My caution with taking up the series was simply that I didn't want some military propaganda show. This was FAR from that. The scenery was stunning being filmed on location in Colombia. I've spent many months in Colombia and can testify that the market scenes and sense of daily life is perfectly portrayed. Those saying the series could've been compressed into fewer episodes have the attention span of a gnat. This isn't John Wick, it's a thoughtful, elegantly told story of doing whatever it takes to save the one you love. Watch it, it's a winner!
