Many crtiics complain it's a rehash of the original, it's not it's as far Summerville Oklahoma is from New York City. What the film doses is makes use of GB lore and history. What the all the "professional" critics are missing is that supernatural makes use of ritual and repitetion. Are elements of the story and world the film exist in. The Easter eggs aren't there for nostalgic call backs but are part of a the plot. I can't say any more without ruining the plot. But rest assured it's a fun fresh ride. Not a dusty slog hoping to make a quick buck on nostalgic factor alone.
