Captain Nero takes you on a beautiful journey for sure and even a pandemic couldn't stop him from doing that (be it virtual!). I absolutely loveeeed the book. It's a collection of beautiful heart-warming tales of Neeraj's solo trips and adventures from around the world.
A wise man once said (Err..our captain only ;) ) "Travel at the end of it is not always about the sights but about the people you meet along the way", and I guess, his book did justice to that pretty well. Be it Karen's warmth, some Lisa-ness, pulling off a stunt at Malaga airport, the kind gesture of the gypsy (which literally stole my heart), the good men of Sikkim - Binay and Prashant, a historical morning with a Belizean girl ;), the pure wit of the camel rider, or an eventful night with Nadine, each story is simple yet very impactful. It teaches you quite a lot. It makes you realise how important it is to be happy with what you do in life. It makes you want to take that plunge and follow your dreams because in the end, "it all boils down to desire. How much you want something."
Solo travel teaches you a lot. But, most importantly, it teaches you to have faith in the universe and give yourself to it. Eventually, overtime, the universe will find its way of giving it all back to you in some way or the other. After all, "The energy or the vibe you emit is the energy you receive". ;)
If you want to know how beautiful the would is out there and how travel can change your perspective towards life and people, then I'd highly recommend that you read this book. It's a lighthearted book that is sure to melt your heart and fill your soul with sheer happiness :)
