The story of Mulan is a true Chinese female warrior in the very early centuries of China. This actually was not uncommon. During the Sung and Tang dynasties there were women warriors just as there were women Samurai in feudal Japan. Sadly, the Disney live action version is NOT as good as the animation. Mulan has NOTHING to do with witches nor Chi (which everyone and everything has), and NOT exclusive to male warriors! While the witch may add interest to persons not familiar to the actual story, it is nonsense. Why are writers creating works for a director who seems to be a simpleton. What should have been an extremely interesting and powerful movie about the courage and strength of this women is made into yet another commonplace and expected Disney movie.
