Loved it! A lot of the negative reviews here are likely trump supporters(my bad). I even read a couple of these reviews that claimed this interracial stuff is being shoved down their throats lol. I guess they didn’t see the cast listing before tuning in. It was not like the original movie, which I also enjoyed. But the writing, the characters, the locations, and plots were well done. Bring on season two!

I’m a Morgan Freeman forever fan. So for me it hard for him to be in a bad film. This keeps my hope alive that he will never be in a bad film. I loved it. Five stars 💙

The overall ratings on this movie are driven by the low reviews of religious zealots. I’m not very religious but a god that would send children and poor people to a so called hell to suffer for eternity is not a loving god. He’s arrogant and frankly evil. But don’t fear that’s not your god because there is no such thing, sorry. If you rate this movie on its premise that challenges the concept of hell, and opens debate, the absolutely brilliant acting, and a first class cast, it’s 5+ stars. Loved it.

There were likely a lot over very good life lessons in the storyline. The casting and acting was excellent. But that script was written by a weird mind. They turned a great concept for movie almost a horror film.

There is a good chance that Peter has smaller peter than Theo. Just sayin :)

Spike Lee + Lin Manuel vibe. Loved it!!

Admittedly I’m biased cuz I’m a die hard Will Smith fan. From six degrees of separation thru the bad boys and men in black silly stuff, and the amazing performance in Legend. This movie called for a deep dig into the actors emotions. Will finds it perfectly. I see that some reviews sees it dark, overly dramatic and too emotional. I disagree.

Beautiful badass Asian women, my weakness, lots of action, and done fictional insight into late 19th century San Francisco Irish vs asians. Lived it!

As an African American I felt deeply for the plight of the Cambodian people. The CPK government made slaves out of its people. Families were forced to separate. 100s of thousands died from back breaking labor, hunger, disease and murder. The movie had great educational value for those of us that only had a general understanding of Vietnam war. As for the movie quality, I love it! The acting, cinematography, and story were extremely well done. Imho.
