Andrea Ruth

This was imperfect but really watchable from start to finish. I loved the character Seth, who is about the most adorable boyfriend I've seen in a teen film. I haven't really seen much about feminism in high school and it was a really welcome subject.

The movie is beautifully acted and the performances are so believable, that it’s unnerving. Some movies are meant to depict hard truths. The hard truths of this film include, young girls are overexposed in our current internet/social media driven society to sexual used depictions of femininity. They are exposed to the currency of “likes” on social media. They are exposed to a world with very little positive supervision, especially if they are poor. This movie reminded me of The Florida Project and Fishbowl. All movies about poor kids running wild and needing boundaries and having to find them on their own.
