I cannot bear the way nearly all of the singers screech out their songs, and look as though they are in their death throes. And I fail to find any of the songs that the judges choose for them to sing, seriously melodic or enjoyable to listen to. Would it not be better for the judges to actually be people who are teachers/trainers/voice coaches of singeing? They need to learn voice and breath control, all of which they very evidently don’t have when they screech and gyrate like clones of each other. It is a rare contestant who has that special magic where you just take your eyes off them as they sing, someone who is unique and truly talented. And while I am on my soapbox. I really don’t care if the contestant has just lost their leg, their granny or their dog. They can either sing, or they (most likely) can’t, irrespective of what their sob story is.
