Honestly, this movie is like Jodha Akbar meets Bajirao Mastani. It's filming style, imagery and dramatic acting makes me feel like I'm watching a Sony TV series instead of a Bollywood movie. Maybe that's why Kangana Ranaut's acting comes across as pretentious and trying too hard. And the Englishman seem like they came out of lagaan. The music during the movie comes off as misplaced and over dramatised. All this does is leave me feeling barely anything for the characters in the film. Manikarnika's story is a good one to tell, but not much justice was given to her in this movie. Therefore my rating is 1/5 for Ankita Lonkhande's role as Jhalkari bai
