07/078/2022 - Thursday - “LISTEN & RESPOND” Those words were spoken by Sister Campbell, Recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in response to a question put by Lawrence O’Donnell, of MSNBC. It is an illustration of what I have stated in one of my Posts(onFacebook) that said Religion has done many good things. You don’t have to be Religious or a Roman Catholic to follow her advice…just using your Common Sense and capacity for Compassion. In this case it is ‘the essence’ of religious belief put into practice in the real world. Sister Campbell represents many Sisters both Religious and Non religious. Another topic O’Donnell touched on that we need to ‘listen and respond’ to is the Mid-term Elections when on 8 November citizens of America go to to cast their votes. We have been made aware by the rogue behavior of our last former President that the weaknesses in our system of government, that the Founding Fathers could not foresee, need to be corrected; but this is also the Time that monumental task cannot have a chance for success since our Nation is so polarized and the minority in the county have seized power from the majority, which our system and a complicit Supreme Court is more likely to allow since many states have passed laws that are unjust and unfair in an American Democracy. Under the cover of State Rights the current Supreme Court may allow the loser the ability to actually ‘steal the election’ by ‘rigging ‘ the Electoral College and Dis-enfranchising the poor, black, and brown voters. There is in the State of Pennsylvania Republicans of Conscience, who wish to preserve American Democracy and the rule of just laws, by urging Republican voters to vote Democratic to preserve the United States. For this effort to succeed you have to have an ‘open mind,’ and ‘listen and respond.’ If you have been ‘listening,’ your only ‘response’ is to make sure the STEAL goes down to defeat. And former President Trump is barred from holding any public office!
