"Parents sacrifices for you more than you know''... Getting into it straight away, Tribhanga is one of the best OTT contents of this decade and arguably one of the best of Kajol.. A film which starts as a simple one but hits you extremely hard till the end is deservingly fantastic..A Film written untold truth of being a woman all over it and a film all women should be proud of..Kajol at her genius best and I really felt that even in her very limited appearances to the films in long intervals, she gradually emarged as one of the greatest actresses of all time in our country.. The content is created perfectly by Renuka Shahane and equally support by all the casts including Mithila Palkar, Tanvi Azmi and Kunal Roy Kapoor...The film, throughout doesn't bore you for a second and constantly reminds you the practicality of being a wife, a mother, a daughter or a sister.. It also personally taught me that don't ever say something to someone you're gonna regret later because you don't know whether you will get to fix that or say final goodbye or not, to that person.. A Must Watch..A Tremendous Watch...!!!!

Almost a decade back, we witnessed a film called "Slumdog Millionaire" which blew the minds of the film fraternity around the world concerning India's darkest side which is much below the poverty line..Now, welcome to the "Slumdog Millionaire" of the new age which is much more darker. 'The White Tiger' is a mirror a for Indians who above all crave for power and like to have a life of hunky- Dory without thinking of any sort of impact on the poor and backward communities of the country.. This film will grind your mind in a way that you will start feeling uncomfortable at some point. This film gives you a peek to the dining rooms of the poor of the country. It will remind you in every single frame that the poor people of India is resilient by force of oppression, not by choice.. This piece of art will clearly mark the stardom of a supremely talented and bold actor Adarsh Gaurav who's equally supported by Priyanka Chopra, Rajkumar Rao and Mahesh Manjrekar.. Priyanka Chopra once again proved why she is an international icon with her limited but extremely bold screen presence.. As per as art of cinema is concerned, actors like Adarsh Gaurav assures us that Indian film Industry is not all about glamour but about great actors too..Sad to think these sort of sensitive and reality based issues and these fantastic actors are often picked up by Western Directors, in this case,Ramin Bahrani when Indian directors keep themselves busy making remakes of Coolie No.1.. Parheps this film can open a Few Eyes and raise a Few more Eyebrows.. Thanks Netflix for this reality check..!!

2020 continues to surprise us in bizzare manner. But this time, Bizarre is also fun.. Fun to watch and think afterwards that a few Indian Film makers are still on course of creating worldclass uniqueness through their art. AK vs AK, is not a film, not a documentary, not an act but a supremely chaotic parody which takes on the Artist vs Aristocracy rumble of Bollywood in "Pseudo-Mocumentary" style.. I am sorry to use these bombastic words but I can't help it. I can bet all my filmygyaan that no Indian has ever witnessed an Indian film or whatever it is, with this pattern of story telling. It's an extremely dark but satisfying comedy which most of the time confuses you what is real and what is fake. I don't wanna spoil the story for you all but I definitely suggest to try this one out once. The veteran "Superstar" Anil Kapoor and the king of "Dark" films, Anurag Kashyap with the directorial touch of Vikramaditya "Wasseypur" Motwane has created something that really suits the way 2020 is going, Chaos at it's best..!! This Black but White Comedy deserves audience....!!

I generally refrain myself from spending words on a bad film but I think people should know about this..Durgavati or Durgamati : The Myth IS THE WORST OTT CONTENT OF 2020..!! It's so bad that I couldn't even wait for this film to end to inform all of you around that if you think you have suffered enough in 2020, you can leave this one. A supremely below par performance by the lead casts including Bhumi Pednekar, Mahi Gill, Karan Kapadia and Jisshu Sengupta along with the small characters. Mahi Gill, the talented actor who was once lauded for classics like DevD and Gulaal, played a Bengali IAS Officer, hasn't done basic homework or preparation to be a Bengali and it was frustratingly hilarious. It's a horror film which is copied from every single Indian horror films from Purana Haveli to Raaz to Bhool Bhulaiyaa and so on. It's Cliche at it's best. Every single horror sequence is so predictable that even a 5 years old can anticipate. This film is definitely not an OTT Content and even if it would have been released in theatres, it would have been a flop. Moreover, few film makers should understand that India is heading towards more practical and more raw web contents and they will not be satisfied with a remake masala horror cliche containing predictable jump scares with over dramatic drum beats. This is surely what SSR's "Drive" was for Netflix for 2019, even more if not less. Nothing more, my short and sweet rating for this would be 1/10 and one for a little bit of Arshad Warsi...Watch it at your own risk..!!

It took me almost 48 hours to gather my words around to draft a review on this one..Phew..What a Ride..!! Tom Holland-Robert Pattinson-Bill Skarsgard- Sebastian Stan..We know them as Spiderman, upcoming Batman, Pennywise and Winter Soldier.. But in this movie they are some thing else..They are Crazy, They are extremely vile, They are scary, but I bet you they have given the best performances of their lives through this movie... A purely American movie with major British and Australian cast in a post WW II ambience with brilliant multi-dimensional story telling, Oh Man.! This movie deserves some recognition and so as Tom Holland..Tom Holland gave the performance of his life with this psychologically twisted thriller. Robert Pattinson, Sebastian and also Harry Melling ( Dudley from Harry Potter), Jason Clerk, Mia Wasikowska ( Alice from Alice in Wonderland) and Riley Keough was extremely believable as the sadists and antagonists and Bill Skarsgard, man, this guy was there in the film for merely 20 to 25 minutes but he just owned that screen time..!!!! This is a film which is disturbing, Brutal and also realistic which will force you to confuse yourself in what's right and what's wrong..This Film is a winner of 2020 for me and if you have the patience to dissolve in this slow-paced yet painfully original flick, I recommend you this.. P.S. This flick is not for the light hearted fun loving people because it will definitely grind you heart..!! A solid 8.5/10 from my end..!!

Bulbbul is Peculiar yet Classy, Creepy yet not so Scary and Powerful yet another example of Under-utilising a Good Script.. It's a pre-independence folk tale of a 'Chudail' which teams up with Womanhood and the painful life of Adjustment, Torture and Tolerance behind the curtains..One of the Classiest and most Creatively designed Victorian Bengali Ambience and Set Decoration in recent times, some times gives you a feel of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali Movie, this film is high on Colour and Vibrance but falls a bit short on enacting the Story.. A commendable act by Tripti Dimri, well supported by the Cast including Rahul Bose, Paoli Dam and Parambrata Chatterjee but the weakest link was definitely Avinash Tiwary, quite unconvincing.. In Short, this Anushka Sharma produced, Anvita Dutt directed Medieval tale of Woman Empowerment cross breeding with Visually Stunning Horror Fest is something you don't want to miss but also it is something which will make you wonder has the maker did Justice with an otherwise Nice and Gripping Script??!?! My honest rating would be between 6 - 7 because I am too confused to decide how exactly I felt after watching this Flick..Rest is upto you to decide..

So, coming straight to the point, Gulabo Sitabo is a Slow paced and Easy Going Comedy Drama which hits you real hard at the very end and I bet you will surely chuckle at the end of it thinking about the practicality of the ending..! I am not gonna spoil the movie for you with plot details but I must say Amitabh Bachchan as Mirza delivers one of his most silent, most peculiar yet best performances in recent times.. Ayushmann Khurrana being as he is, portays Baankey Sodhi with tremendous ease very well supported by Vijay Raaz, Srishti Shrivastava, Brijendra Kala and last but the most important Farrukh Jafar a.k.a Fatima Begum around whom the Complete story revolves.. Believe me when I am saying this, this film very slow and it is not your conventional comedy film with extreme laugh and fun..You may get bored, you may criticize the pace of the film but you can not deny the fact that this is another typical Shoojit Sircar movie just like Piku, Vicky Donor and Pink with deeply dissolved in surreal emotions and it can make you think about the essential lessons of life.. My Honest Rating would be 3/5... Only because of the Pace and the time taken for the exact story to unfold.. Rest is up to you to decide...!!

Now this is a film which deserves an international recognition..!! Kaamyaab, it's a tribute to those unforgettable characters on silver screen who may have a role with a duration of a minute or two, but without them, every single Hero will be incomplete, every single Heroine would be incomplete, every single Film would be incomplete... It not only tells you the tale of the behind the scenes, also shows you the hardship of every single artist who do not possess a Bentley or a Mansion worth millions. A Truthful film dedicated to the likes of Tejas and the dagas and police officers and judges and the goons who lend their act for small sequences in hundreds of films..Sanjay Mishra gave a Landmark performance and kudos to Shahrukh Khan's Red Chillies for producing such an honest film.. This film boldly points out that the film industry doesn't only belong to the Multi-million Stars, it also belong and completes with these Character Artists who with their blink-and-you-miss-it performances give a new direction to every single film..!! A Gem of A Movie..!!

Alright, it is time for me to reopen my account with this new Action Flick "Extraction".. Now, why this movie?? Because, it's Russo Brothers met Chris Hemsworth met Randeep Hooda met A little bit of Pankaj Tripathi met some of our very own talented Indians met Mumbai met frequent use of Bengali Slangs met unbelievable action met Netflix..It's like a whole dream package for a Indian Nerdy movie buff, on paper..Yes, on paper because some times, the theories on paper fail to reflect entirely in practicals..This film is no doubt, 'The' film with the most intense action sequences ever made in recent history and mark my words, Chris 'Thor' Hemsworth delivers the best ever performance till date mixing it with raw action and dark emotion but some how it feels like the 'Story' could have been 'a bit more', a little bit more..I accept that it's an out and out no brainer action movie but I really feel that the character development could have been better..And Also a quick observation, why Indian Hindi music were buzzing all around the houses of Bangladesh? It calls for a question on authenticity, right?? I myself, an Indian, don't think that Bangladeshis listen to Hindi Music that much..! Nevertheless, it doesn't take away the fact that the Indian Angry man Randeep Hooda fought exceptionally well to take his role at per with Hemsworth.. In parts, it felt like this film is targeted to the Indian audiences, it's like the producers knew what could trigger us to like and watch this film..hat's off Russo Bros and debutant director Sam Hargreaves for this fantantic marketing strategy.. Nothing more to say but I guess this film with it's 'ifs' and 'buts' delivers a popcorn and relaxing treat in these tough times and Kudos to the creators for that..And Special mention must be the precious Bengali spoken by Chris Hemsworth i.e. ''Proman Dao'' ( Show me the proof)..That was shockingly hilarious..!!

Gripping, Intense and Finally, something Logical by YashRajFilms after the last nonsense action flick of theirs, back in 2013..Yes, WAR is not a perfect movie, but it's way better in terms of Action than Siddharth Anand's Last venture BANG-BANG and Significant improvement over YashRaj's DHOOM 3..! Trust me guys, when I say it, WAR is a one of the most Logical Action thriller with extreme twists and turns since Race(2008) and Kahaani(2012). But yes, there were visible flaws like, yes, both the songs were Entertaining and Foot-tapping but they doesn't really go with the film's scenarios.Here the makers needed to show maturity. Also there is an Over-use of Tiger Shroff's Athletic abilities. It's like he is not an Army man, only a Street Stuntman. But where the Film really Wins is it never bores you and while First half introduces the main characters, the Second half immediately grabs your attention with Extreme Layers of plots..! The Greek-God never flaunts his chiseled physique in this movie but whenever camera turned to him, it has been proven that there were never been a Better Looking actor walked the Indian Silver Screen ever. While most of the film is been carried by Hrithik's shoulders, for the first time I felt that yes, actually Tiger Shroff did justice with his Acting skills for the first time in his career which is really good news. I won't be giving you any sort of spoiler but one thing is certain, WAR 2 will surely be coming bcoz Rogue Agent Kabir Anand is still at Large..!! In Short, It's the Most Stylish film of Hrithik's career and one of the most Spectacular Popcorn Thriller Flick and yes, worth every Penny with it's own set of Flaws which are quite ignorable.. My verdict is an Honest and Unbiased 8/10 but it's now for you to watch and decide..!!!
