I love word game shows...esp. Jeopardy, I also think I will like the new Chase. But 25 Words or Less is, IMO, awful...the host is annoying, saccharin sweet but noxious, the "celebs" are at best D listers so are they celebs?, the contestants are not very good, and it's sad when I see the episodes and Viera asks what they'll do with their winnings...She'll say, "oh, that's so sweet," or "you're such a lovely son" when she hears the contestant say he/she will use the $7000 or so after tax to take their entire family to an around the world vacation of a lifetime. Really? Who writes this stuff for the contestant to say? You can't buy a plane ticket to go overseas for that. Sick. And boring. And I am not the only one in my family who thinks this...my daughter is an English teacher and loves word game shows, my husband is a doctor and smart, we've watched this with others together, and feel ourselves feeling nauseous. Such an awful show.
