My daughter (10) and I are not fans. We really liked it to begin with. The chapters finished making us really want to read more. She decided she doesn’t like it or want to finish reading it. She is an avid reader and this is not for her. She loves Harry Potter, but was disappointed in this.
It is all about lies, deceit, murder, and covering the tracks from a single accidental death. The language bothers me because it goes from third person to second to first. As a teacher, it’s a mess. How was this a book written for children and families during a pandemic, to cheer people up?! Do not recommend.
