Ohh this story gives me the goosebumps! It’s beautiful and inspiring and heart wrenching and exciting.. all at the same time! We’ve all heard about the war and German occupation but this book captures the real essence of it. The pain and difficulties faced by the people for years. How they discussed and portrayed the war and showed the hardships faced by the people and still managed to make the audience laugh is beyond me! The entire story revolving around books and reading makes me a little biased but for a person with an old soul like me.. it’s wonderful! However, I really wish they hadn’t changed the storyline to such an extent. Juliet was a much stronger person. She knew herself. I’d suggest the book to anyone who’d love to read the story!
