Enjoyed this movie, Milly Bobby Brown steals the show. I see a superhero character in her career coming fast...Marvel take note!

What an amazing series. Being a fan of sci-fi movies, i was pleasantly surprised to not see any usual sci-fi encounters with alien species or the likes. This show is about human relationships and people's bonds even though a million miles from each other. Man's obsession with exploring Mars is played out brilliantly in the terrifying and dangerous mission that is undertaken to accomplish this. The focus being on the crew and the people that are inter-twined in their lives, a glimpse as well into people's struggles from the past and what they have to face to overcome adversity. Brilliant acting! Thank you Netflix for bringing God into the characters and unashamedly so...very unlike Hollywood that usually mocks our creator and blasphemes all the time. I felt every emotion the characters experienced. I hope season 2 comes very soon - i consider this to be one of Netflix's best ever tv shows. Well done.

Beautiful story, right on my doorstep. Proof that God's creatures are sentient beings just like humans. We have the ability to experience that with any animal. I generally watch documentaries with a casual enthusiasm, Octopus Teacher had me glued to the screen! A brave man to go into the water, even at night, with sharks and who knows what else all to experience a bond with the octopus. A sad moment to see how this creature sacrifices her own life to procreate. His narrative shows the emotion he felt in parallel with his life above the water. Brilliantly filmed and good story telling. the water shots and close ups of this creature was simply amazing. Well done...keep it coming.

Great entertainment and expands on the Movie which was brilliant. For the other much harsher reviews below that nit pick at every plot and action - to you i say this is entertainment and not reality, if you want reality watch a documentary or watch the news. That's why it is called acting!

I love this show - it is hands down one of the best non sci-fi series i have seen. The acting and scenes are intense. You get into the characters only for them to be killed off in some way - a real heart and gut wrencher of a story for human survival and human relationships - i was never a zombie movie person but the human element in this show is unprecedented and can bring you to tears. Been binge watching and the end of season 6/beginning of season 7 ripped my heart to pieces - but i won't divulge, see it for yourself - highly recommended for edge of your seat entertainment! NB - Not for the faint hearted due to the violence and gruesome scenes and not for kids!
