Metroid Prime is a killer game. I only recently gave it a chance because I’ve only stuck to the 2D Metroid games. I didn’t think I would like Metroid in 1st person but I was wrong. The game plays and feels like it the 2D games. It’s very cool seeing the different beams in 1st person, especially the wave beam. Prime is not super difficult but it has enough of a challenge to make some of the bosses and areas difficult. The bosses are all done very well and the music is very good like it is in the other Metroid games. The Prime remaster is very well done and makes the game look much better. The extra joystick that is used for aiming makes for a better experience IMO. The game runs very smoothly on the Switch and is one of the best looking games on the system. Either way, you can’t go wrong with either version. Give it a try if you’re on the fence about it! You won’t be disappointed!
