The movie was amazing!!! I don't understand ppl being mad about the actor being bi-racial, when all Africans aren't dark skinned black ppl, for me the comment shows why we have issues within our own black race. I have 2 light skinned sister's and me and my brother are brown skin with the "Same" mother/father but moving on. I loved how the movie dealt with racial and same sex issues!! Those are the biggest problems we deal with as black ppl. Even with touching on mental illness because of his race and sexuality all ties into what we go through. I'm a bi-sexual black woman and now it's more excepted, at one time it wasn't, but being a black, gay man in America is widely still frowned a pond. It's not easy talking about or being confronted with these types of things, but these are real life situations for a lot of black men. Until everyone can have a real and honest conversation about this it will continue. I think this is a move parents should watch with their age apparent kids and discuss openly.

I love how the movie!!! You think you know what's going to happen!!

This movie is amazing and show the struggles for females back in those times. The first time i watched this i hated Anne and everything she did, but now 12 yrs later i understand why and what they went through. Today women still struggle to be considered equal in an male dominant world. So i can imagine how hard women had it back then. Women's survival was based on who your family was and who you married. Women was sometime forced to marry a man they not only not like but hated!! Even being Queen you were still beneath every man no matter what there title was. This movie really make you think about what iv'e would've done if i was Anne or Mary.

I would have given it 4 stars but, i hate how the second season is going. I'm on episode 5 and Jess is always crying about a lover or lack of, crying about getting sucked into the illegal stuff but then crying about being left out. I'm starting to hate her character, i mean the whole relationship issues i get because we all have them but if you don't want any part of the other stuff why keep inserting yourself in it, it's really becoming annoying!! The story line is really the same as last season take away Tyson's death. So i'm gonna end it at episode 5 and maybe when i get bored in a month or 2 watch the rest.

This series shows how black people are mistreated by police. It's funny how they would say it's was about someone being black when a unarmed man was murdered by one of the cops. I saw the whole video everyone in America has. At no time did I see on the show police officers going to neighborhoods that was mostly white and stopping everyone and asking for their ID. They never went into white neighborhoods and pulled anyone over and asked where's the drugs ( like black people are the only one using drugs). And then cops are surprised when someone brings up the fact that racial profiling only is happening in poor mostly black neighborhoods. How is anything going to change if no one think it's a problem. At one time a lot of people felt like black people being slaves wasn't a problem. Until everyone stop sugar coding things and call it what it is then it'll never change. If my "Black" grandson's ever get pulled over or stopped by an police officer I would be afraid for their lives. So yes #BlackLivesMatter
