The Orville is somewhat like a mixture of Star Trek TOS &TNG with its optimistic view of the future. Seth MacFarlane is talented in his writing and production skills. His story lines can be captivating and enjoyable with some light hearted comic relief. Seth can bring forth some complex issues to ponder. Seth shows that there is more to space than an empty vacuum.

If you like Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory then you will love Monk. :)

I was happy to see Star Trek make a come back. I was worried that they were going for a Space 1999 look. It was great to see Star Trek II bring back color in the uniforms along with more of a sense of humor and a family unit feel. 2 of the high points for Star Trek: The Motion Picture were the change of looks for the Klingons and the use of the Klingon language Klingonese.

Star Trek is fascinating. It is a show about a future where we can strive to be better.They have a concept that there is an acceptance of differences which leads to a peaceful co-existence. Live long and prosper.

Sliders takes you on many excellent adventures. Comet TV channel has been running Sliders marathons. It has been fun to watch the shows back to back. :)
