I've been an Outlander fan for decades. This book is a huge waste of time and paper. It reads like a series of short stories (over a hundred) with no uniting theme or plot. I lost track of the number of times I breathed a big sigh when Gabaldon clearly pulled some bit that was clipped from another book and inserted it here. It's like she forgot how to write a narrative and just got stuck in reiteration and bogged down in a destinationless journey. Boo! Get a new editor and LISTEN to her.
