I loved this movie so much! The sense of ancient high technology was perfect. The overall production design was amazing. It really was like the book coming to life for me. The casting was all perfect. However, I don't know how someone new to the story would react. There were several moments where I think I would have been confused or uninvested in the story if I did not essentially know it by heart.
