Dawson Clements

The show itself isn't necessarily "bad" but it shouldn't have been a Scooby Doo IP. It's clear this is just another show using the aesthetic of Scooby Doo for promotional reasons, there is absolutely nothing of the original source material remaining and what results feels awkward and clunky coming from these iconic characters. The main joke seems to be "haha beloved childhood character said something crass" Had they just made a new show and not lazily depended on the fame of the Scooby Doo IP this could have been a decent show. The problem isn't that Velma is brown, the problem is that Velma isn't Velma.

The characters are barely likeable at best, deplorable at worst and never in a clever fun way. It's chocked so full of cliches and terribly executed tropes that it makes a better comedy than serious drama. It's entirely lacking everything that made the original work despite its flaws and has abandoned everything that have it it's identity.
