HERO-
Bunny, this guy is going to be remembered as one of the greats ever. Such transformation and dedication, it is just a thrill to watch him. He has won the hearts way back, now with this movie he rules them with all dignity. " Cinema dobbina chokkal egaresi ravali ma hero iragadisadani". That's what I did.
5/5 for bunny's performance.
DIRECTOR-
He has come up with such a beautiful storyline. A boy's dream to serve at the border is hindered by his own character. So he takes it all to make it right. The character of him is so powerful that it could destroy a parent kid relationship. Dream of this kid will be fulfilled, if his dad validate his character as bearable. This is enough to make a beautiful epic movie with a protagonist of that quality. But he ruins it with unnecessary sequences, by diverting the whole movie to something a soldier isn't trained for, to solve the conflicts that prevail in the society. The two actors Anoop singh and Sharath kumar, are of no use to the movie. THE CHARACTER THEY PLAYED NOT ONLY IRK Surya, but every guy on this earth. They can't be valid reason to divert hero's dream. It's hard to buy it. THE DREAM OF SERVING AT THE BORDER, AS EXPLAINED IN THE FIRST HALF, A SCENE THAT KNOCKS PATRIOTISM IN YOU, IS TOO SMALL TO GIVE UP. Quite a start as a director, but standard of directing didn't match to the standards of bunny's efforts. 2.5/5 for direction.
MOVIE ISN'T A DISASTER, it's a blend of great scenes and the routine ones which are good indeed, but for one section of the audience. In this world where access to the world cinema is damn easy, we get to watch a lot of it. The expectations pile up when the protagonist of the movie undergoes such intensive training to get into a character and we tend to compare. It's a directors duty to use the service of the hero to the full extent without compromising on the script. But director here tried to be safe after penning down a adventurous script, which made it a routine movie. Overall 3/5.
A must watch!
