I was so excited for this series because I like Taecyeon, and it was really good at first but towards the end it became too silly. I have so many questions, and it ended so awfully. Spoiler alert: she awakens him a day early only for him to fall for her then die. Lame. And the love rival also doesn’t get his curse broken. Plus, the one vampire’s hair was so HE-MAN-esque I couldn’t concentrate on anything else. And we never find out why or how he was born a vampire. He said he’d never been human. It was disappointing and all over the place 👎🏻👎🏻

I had just finished watching Autumn’s Concerto and was looking for something similar and found Mars. I was pleasantly surprised by this drama. It was sweet, sad, heartwarming yet heart wrenchingly dark and had me on the edge of my seat at times. I cheered, cried and yelled at my tv for the characters. The two leads seemed so broken but put each other back together in such a beautiful way. Never a dull moment, was sad to see it end.

I’ve seen around 50 Kdramas in the past 6 months (thanks mostly due to quarantine), and Love Rain is in my favorite 2 (the other is CLOY). Joon and Hana’s love story made me laugh, cry and cheer for them. It’s so different from many of the Kdramas I’ve seen. The characters are well written and fleshed out beautifully, you feel their joy and heartbreak in every scene. The hot springs in Hokkaido, the arboretum and coffee shop/doctors office/photography studio (Cafe Poete) where they live in Seoul are picturesque and make one want to go there. I loved it so much I bought the DVD so I can watch it in years to come.
