This is an excellent movie. It is a taut thriller/horror movie. Hugh Grant is exceptional as the creepy Mr Reed. I was wondering how effective he would be given his acting pedigree but he was superb. The plot line is well developed reaching a thrilling climax. It is quite chilling in parts.

This is a disappointing show. The plot line is wafer thin, and centres mainly around internecine intragency warfare. It is mostly shot in the dark which is not visually appealing. The acting is nothing to write home about, and there is nothing particularly humorous about middle age flatulence. We did not get past season 1 episode 3.

Disclaimer is a solid effort, although with a number of plot holes. How for example could Nancy purport to know what exactly transpired, although noting that the show does indicate that the book had taken some licence. Why were not the police involved at any point? What happened to Sasha? The sex scenes in the earlier episodes are gratuitous and unnecessary- why can’t things be implied rather than so explicitly demonstrated? The acting is uneven and the hospital scenes somewhat cliched.

This is an excellent show. It is gripping, filled with tension and is unnerving in exactly the right measure. The moral dilemmas confronting the various characters are well portrayed.

This is a gripping show, full of tension and twists and turns. Yes the plot and story line was a bit far fetched but I think that is all part of the theatre with this kind of show. While the political leanings were on show they were not overtly “ in your face”.

A weak and somewhat implausible ending mars what is otherwise a very good series. The acting is excellent by a host of well known actors, the courtroom scenes are compelling and character development is solid. The series is slightly too long and could have been compressed into six episodes. I would have given it a 4 or 5 but for the ending which also gave the impression of being rushed. Having not read the novel I don’t know to what extent the series stays true to the novel.

This series had a good start and showed a great deal of promise. Ultimately it was let down by a weak ending, a plot line that went nowhere, many unanswered questions and games of “ cat and mouse” seemingly only played by one participant.

Season one is interesting and engaging. Season two is terrible and a major let down. It began to resemble a soap opera. The introduction of additional and often peripheral characters was completely unnecessary and it ended nowhere. Was a season three proposed? The music was absolutely atrocious. Rap and hip hop did not fit the mood, theme or time period of the series. Plus it was incredibly loud.

I found this movie disappointing and shallow. It lacks emotional depth and does not adequately convey the true horrors of war. The war scenes are too fleeting, the fate of the friends is not explored to the fullest, and the movie often meanders along.

This is an excellent series although very disappointing that it was left unfinished due to its axing after season 1. The characters are engaging and the plots, although at times a tad confusing, are generally well thought through and interesting. The intense but essentially good Lin and the quirky Prabhu are portrayed beautifully, while the support cast contains strong performers. The series highlights exceptionally well the travails of life in Mumbai slums in the 1980’s and the scourge of corruption.
