While it is not the Beatles' greatest album, it still remains one of their best. There's always "something" in their songs that really begs the listener to jump in and escape their own world. From the soft dramatic strings that populate George Harrison's "Something," to the dreamy background that dominates "Because," from the playfulness and jolly atmosphere in Paul McCartney's "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" to the epicness of the Side Two medley that leads into a climax like no other in rock music, this album is truly a feast for the ears at heart. Highly recommended for Beatles newbies and longtime veterans of the Fab Four. (This was actually one of the first Beatles albums I actually listened to!)
