If in a past life you were the sort of person who would pay to watch the "lunatics" in the asylum then you will love this film! Personally, I think the director forgot that it is supposed to be escapist entertainment of the superhero/ supervillain genre and goes for a political statement of society in a dark, slow (and sometimes boring) observation of someone having a psychotic break in a way that appeals to art critics. I found it offensive that mental illness is again depicted in such a negative way and this will only add to ignorance and the stigma experienced by those living with mental illness and their families. The acting may be good but that doesn't make it a good film. We're all entitled to our own opinion but I suspect there may be a little bit of the Emperor's New Clothes going on with this one!
