I have very mixed feelings about the remake. On the one hand, the scenery is nice, the effects are good, as are the performances. On the other, it is a by the numbers remake where EVERY scene in the original, EVERY bit of dialogue, EVERY shot, EVERYTHING in the original is in this remake. The emotionaless cg animals don't help with the emotional moments that we have come to know from the original. The new jokes aren't that good either. The original's humor is more memorable. All in all, I did like some things in this remake, but it was too similar to the original and suffers a LOT because of that.
