The Little Nyanya is a Very touching and thought provoking movie. I believe westerners like myself are so unaware of the complexities that make up Chinese culture and customs. The profound dedication to customs and values whether they hurt or not is so hard to understand. I enjoyed the unfolding of this complex movie as the main character tells the story of her life. All the characters provoked strong emotions in me. I found myself despising the mean characters and wishing the main character would retaliate. Instead I found a lesson in forgiveness, compassion and love.
