There are many reasons why I respect the concept of the show. First, it focuses on the better and efficient ways some countries in the world use their resources. It is also a good mixture of educational and entertaining, just think of Planet Earth with a sprinkle of Efron charm all over it. Another reason is Zac and Darin's tandem, it is well balanced that even if they have different perspectives (e.g. While they were in France, Darin was talking about feeling grounded when in a new place but Zac thought of push-ups when Darin was literally referring to going barefoot and feeling the ground itself) one is spiritual and another is adventurous. This show isn't your regular travel or food destination, it is ambitious in a way that it is trying to open our eyes and raise awareness in bettering the Earth. Lastly, Down to Earth wants us to overlook the obvious, instant, and nasty things we've grown used to and cherish the world's natural resources one country at a time. Go and watch it now.
