Very unbalanced overall and also very bad matchmaking you could be a bronze (lowest rank basically a noob) and you would play against a diamond or platinum (people from 3/4 ranks above bronze), this doesn't happen occasionally it happens to me daily and on a lucky game, I would be playing against gold players. It is very addictive and I think it has a very negative effect on you, it makes you rage really quickly no matter how calm you are you will eventually rage and flame as well, even if you have never done it before, this rage will follow you and you will rage in other games as well as it will become a habit. I would not recommend this game to anyone. It's like cigarettes it's very bad for you but you can't stop doing it.
