Amongst all the poorly written, money-oriented productions of this era, 'Tall Girl' stands out, mainly because it could've been a genuinely good movie.
'Tall Girl' revolves around the woes of a straight, white and rich teenager named Jodi, who's life is apparently destroyed because of her height. The writing is awkward, as if it were written by people who've never talked to others, and the photography is just depressing. The characters are clichéd, and the storyline reeks of plot convenience. I don't know what the writers of this film were thinking, really. Tall Girl somehow manages to fall into every cliche possible in it's genre. It's attempt to be moving is utterly pathetic, and the romance is cringe inducing.
Though I know that I'm being a bit harsh, I think that this movie is 'The Room' of high school dramas.
