I enjoyed the movie. I thought it had a solid plot, the acting got a smidge cheesy but pretty good outcome. Much more fleshed out than the Eddie Murphy version ( I still like that one too)

Was sad when I finished this book 🥹 such a lovely story about a beautiful black girl finding her way even though it wasn’t on her time line. She grew and it was beautiful to read.
