I watched this blindly, as someone who has yet to watch the 2004 version. I thought it was interesting how it was still set in that time period. You can definiltey see the film and artisitic direction of the same directors of the Evil Dead (2013) and Don't Breathe (2016). Surprised Jane Levy wasn't in it lol. There were some generic cutaways and little jumpscares, and the ending did feel a bit rushed. The last two minutes were a bit predicatable but I still enjoyed the movie. Almost reminds you of the RInG.

Honestly, super underrated all-ages comedy "horror" movie. Animation is way head of it's time, smooth movements, focusing, hilarious voice acting and punch-lines. Has legit/corny scary movie angles, and gives total 2000s nostalgia Always brings me back everytime I watch it.
