Even if the film starts really well and has a great premise, I'm afraid it turns out to be disappointing. In a certain part of the movie, things go to a completely different side, and that makes all the tension built and the feeling that they are going crazy be wasted, appealing to a predictable end with a response that seems too easy, taking into account everything the characters have gone through.

The Witch is a wonderful movie that needs to be most appreciated. People have to leave the need to jump of fear and learn to appreciate movies that instill the horror to grow slowly inside them. That make them feel uncomfortable during the whole experience and question themselves after the movie ends. Being very well directed and produced, containing great actors as well, puts social criticism into it's plot and subtly suggests an additional set of factors that show the effects of religious fanaticism, showing later when the human, full of flaws by nature, succumbs to the "wills of the flesh".
