Wow I just beat LOU2, as in JUST PUT THE CONTROLLER DOWN and I have to say this game is excellent. I see why people disliked it because the story could have went so many different ways but just because the plot wasn't what people expected doesn't mean it wasn't an enthralling story! Ignore what others say about no gameplay this game has pounds of GREAT fights, sneaking missions, puzzles, and tension. It gets a bit formulaic at times (scavange/puzzles -> Infected -> humans -> BIG SCENE -> scavange/puzzles-> humans -> infected -> BIG SCENE etc.) But the AI is challenging and hell they really stepped the infected up a notch. I'm a straight black male and I'm 100% unoffended by Abby, i was really on a roller coaster with her, off the rip i hated her cuz of all the rumors I heard, then the game made me feel for her, then before I knew it I started to like her, then the game made me hate Ellie! then I regained some love for Ellie and by the end I liked both the girls, and trust me being team Ellie or Abby makes the experience that much crazier! The first game will always be a classic and loved (and those rose colored glasses kick in) but #2 is a worthy successor i do hope for a 3rd or atleast a special we can watch that ties up a few loose ends though.
