My 9yr old daughter just finished reading this book. She loved it. It’s her first foray into bigger chapter books with less pictures and smaller writing. Her comprehension of the story was excellent, she felt all the emotions the main character felt and the injustices. I recommend this to any parent of a 9yr old who is looking to move beyond the Diary of a Wimpy kid style book.
