Do be aware that Netflix has two different sets of the series. Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories is the recommended series. "Tan Men" is the first episode of season 1 of the series I am giving the favorable review. "Chicken Fried Rice" is the 1st episode of season 2 of this same series. In this series there are only 2 seasons.
In "Midnight Diner" there are 3 seasons so far, and for the ones I've watched, I didn't like as much. There are some that are frankly a bit raunchy. I watched season 3 of this series not knowing at the time about the two different series. Another difference is that in this second series they have scenes away from the diner which I don't especially care for.
I still need to finish the "Three Season Series," but will mentally treat it sort of like a different series instead of an extension of the first.
