Fresh offers a modern twist to 21st century dating. The message is simple; don't trust the person you meet on grocery stores (and elsewhere). The entire film lacks substantial stories-it's full of twists, yes, but I think the writer could have written more. I kept thinking "this was it? i need more!"
Character wise, I think Steve is stupid. But come on, let's give him a good review. He is a psychopath who *disgustingly* yearns for an emotional connection with someone who would *magically* understand his *weird* appetite and business. I think this element makes him more human than having a family. I mean, don't we all just strive to find someone who we could make meaningful connections with? I think this is why he fell for Noa's act. He thinks he found the ONE that it made him blind. He was so successful in running this business. Everything was well planned. And then it was ruined by a woman who is also stupid but came out a bit wiser.
Noa. I think I hate her just because she was desperate enough to trust someone that easily. Girl, just because the guy is smoking hot doesn't mean you can trust that kind of face. So stupid but so human. If you think about it, she was mostly driven by this urge to over counter her dilemma in love and relationships. Unfortunately, she met the wrong one. And now she did not only loss a piece of her meat, she would also lose most of herself in the process of healing.
All in all I think that movie is great. Good production. Good actors. Just terrible script.
