Enola Holmes... now where do I start to appreciate this movie??? Well... excellent dialogues, superb casting and I just loved the feminist angle of it. Enola Holmes is the sister of Sherlock Holmes and is probably better than him. On the morning of her 16th birthday she finds that her mother, who has been a rebel with a mind of her own all her life, has disappeared and here begins her story of trying to find her mother. Meanwhile, her true calling of a detective intertwines in the way things are destined to be and she answers to her true calling because when u r in London, u better try to find urself than try find someone else. Well this world is a London, fast, furious and difficult to catch and yet kind enough to give ur life a purpose. And when u find ur purpose in life and answer to the true calling of ur mind everything falls into place and when u find urself, u find everything that u have been looking for. I absolutely loved the role of Millie Bobby Brown who plays the role of the intrepid, Enola Holmes who kept reminding me of our very own Sarah Ali Khan This movie definitely is making enough noise in the review sections to get the attention it deserves A wonderful watch. Requesting mothers to watch this movie with ur daughters and if u have no daughter watch them with ur son.

I remember one far off relative advising me on the day of my marriage "Always be like a goddess. Laxmi when u r treated well and Kali when people ill treat u." I had laughed off at her advise. But I think every woman has traces of Kali in her. Women have been subject to a hell lot of cruelty and without the right law, order and reforms, the cruelty would have kept growing. Our society is so much interwoven with Patriarchy that the more we try to solve the issues, the more issues come to light. Child marriage, molestation, discriminating widows, marriage without consent, sex without consent, rape, treating women as objects of delight, sati, domestic violence, not accepting a 'no'... there are so many problems... some are solved, but we still have a long way to go. Enjoyed watching Bulbbul on netflix. We need more movies like Bulbbul and the message need to be loud and clear that harassing a woman in any way shall not be accepted and any kind of violence shall be met with the wrath of the woman, either in the form of Kali maa or chudail. The movie is scary, nerve wrecking, feministic, romantic and I must say a piece of art. I give it a 4 out of 5.
