Wasted opportunity to really showcase the Chinese ensemble. A most un-disney disney movie to date... lacking in fantasy, the spectacular and most imptly SONGS! Does this mean tt Chinese actors / actresses cannot sing or dance or make fun of themselves disney-style ? Huuuugggeee disappointment ! Much more expected... The cute and sweet lead actress does steal the show somewhat but its too just too safe !!! They shld hv taken a leaf from creative depts who made Alladdin and the greatest Showman (not by disney but really really top notched) In terms of the "wuxia" genre, much research shld hv been done by reviewing how a good wuxia epic is made... references - Hero (Jet Li), Dragon / Wuxia (Donnie Yen), Saving General Yang, House of flying daggers/ Warlords (Andy Lau)...
